Good morning! Take a deep breath, close your eyes, and find that quiet, meditative space within! Let yourself have a healing during this message!
I asked a friend what l should write about for church and she said, “How about how you keep your focus coming from your Higher Self?” “Haha,” I laughed and thought, “How well am I doing at that?”
After I was over my self-sarcasm, I started contemplating what has helped me access my higher self more recently, as it is a notion that I play with everyday. Doing so is a process, that is revised and edited often.
A concept that has been super helpful in helping me hold my vibration higher is releasing the need to anthropomorphize God. God is not a person with the full spectrum of human attributes. Now, as I say this, I realize that I still do refer to God as him or her at times, and I do talk to God, and I read plenty of things that talk as if God is a person that I like.
I am suggesting seeing what happens when God when you truly know God as an experience versus a person and really feeling and knowing God within your cells. God has been personified for so long, that it is deeply ingrained into our unconscious. God is therefore angry, vengeful, judgmental, fickle and jealous. God resides in heaven somewhere above and outside of us, and throws out rules and laws like a judge, trying to manhandle humans into loving submission. God decides who is worthy, and who is forgiven and gets to go to heaven. Heck, God sounds like he must be really insecure!
Once the Bible was re-written to personify God, it became easy for people to imagine God’s desires and actions to be like a humans. Through their wounded egos it is easy to twist God’s word to justify their own preferences. The Bible was re-written with control in mind, that is very clear. Fear of death, and the fear of hell, for example, became great ways to control people.
Hades was never a place, it was merely the word for the grave. It became a place of fire, because of the reference to gehenna, which was actually the garbage dump outside of the towns were bodies were also taken to be burned. The notion of ending up in a fiery inferno if you are a sinner and judged by an angry, punishing God was preached, and then illustrated and expanded by artists and writers to create a place called Hell that previous to these imaginings didn’t exist. To me, hell is just a state of mind. When we are not at peace, we are in hell.
God is an experience, not a person. God is absolute loving Goodness, the true glue that holds us all together, from which all that is true came from, including ourselves. Now that is something to aspire to. Breathe, and take a moment to allow your DNA, chakras and cells drink in this truth. Perhaps imagine a color of this everlasting love and see it filling you in, as you release down your grounding cord energies that would limit your experience of it.
Release seeing God as a person, and see God as only Love. Invite within yourself the energy of Godliness that won’t turn on you or perpetuate judgements and punishing cycles, or manipulate you or feed harmful doubts about yourself.
The truth of God as absolute love cannot ever be fully understood from our physical, mental and emotional selves. People who can’t experience themselves as spirit still will see God as a person, because it fits the 3 D world. But God as absolute Love is a spiritual consideration, and thus we come to another aspect of staying more in tune with our higher self, which is trust.
We are asked to trust in this higher power, this Divine Beingness of Love and release our need to intellectually understand it. We can’t ever really know, on a scientific, intellectual level, that God is absolute love. It can’t be proven or dis-proven. This is about intuitive knowing, the experience of you as a spiritual being in a body, having an earthly experience.
When you meditate, or pray, you are setting yourself up to listen honestly and from a place of peace, and hear and experience yourself as innocent, loving, pure, of divine love. We can’t make someone else experience this, and we can’t even explain what we experience! We can talk about how we try and do things, but this is personal for each of us, an inner knowingness and feeling, and then and only then, is proof established of the existence of a power greater than what we can imagine, a peace that passeth all understanding.
Breathe and validate this trust in something unexplainable. Validate the feeling of this trust, and release down your grounding cord energies that can’t match this trust.
So, what can we do to live more from our higher self? Desiring to live from our higher self more often is a desire to experience more peace. We need to do this while living life, and slow down. Take the time for meditation and quiet contemplation. Listen for the wisdom that lives within ourselves! Eventually, we consciously tap into it even in the greatest moments of stress.
How else did the early masters attain their wisdom in the body? Few of them had lots and lots of spiritual books to read, recordings to listen to and classes to take like we do! But they always teach of prayer, meditation, listening, reflecting and taking time for retreats.
Jesus taught to love, to release the need to engage false judgments, to share, to be kind. Jesus demonstrated the love of Godliness. And his three keys for having the kingdom of heaven within, or tapping into his higher self, had nothing to do with book learning. It was all about the experience of ourselves in these bodies.
The first key: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. (Mathew 18:3)
No formal education here! Play, and have fun on your path! Make mistakes, and release the need to be perfect! Children are not emotionless. They express themselves honestly where they are. They are in present time. Children are innocent, they trust. And they are just born this way, before they read books or take a class! They are guided by an inner spontaneous compass that gets trained out of us with our over-analyzing. Experiment, have fun, and don’t take everything so seriously.
The second key Jesus taught was is to Know Thyself. He means to know yourself as a spiritual being. Meditate and develop awareness of who you are and separate the lies from the truth. Follow your true desires versus other’s expectations. Know thyself and what distracts you from the goodness of yourself and the world. Discover what you need in your life to get yourself in alignment again. Know thyself as a spiritual being having a human experience.
The third key is to be born again. What does this mean from a spiritual, psychic perspective? This aspect requires mastery of the child-like beingness and the space to know yourself as a spirit.
Being reborn requires a deep trust in your experience of yourself as a treasure. You, the soul, needs to desire to be present in the center of the head in your body. There, we are in command central. We can have more awareness of what we see, hear, feel, taste, and say. We can make choices based on the now. Our soul or spirit self has our wisdom.
We need to be there to address the challenge of really responding from our spiritual truth, from that place of goodness. To be able to see the big picture, that there is more than meets the eye! That is where we are born again, as often we need to, into the awareness of our loving, eternal spirit, right here in the body.
There is a veil we pass through as a spiritual being in these bodies, a metaphysical passage that we can consciously step though and reside as a being, with the Goodness of God. We merely need to decide to be there, and ask heavenly creator to help us to see with the single eye of spirit. To experience from an awareness that is more free of 3 dimensional considerations like the karma of cause and effect. Because in spirit, there is only now. The loving beingness, that is truly ever-present.
Can you be reborn in a heartbeat? Yes. As soon as we decide to accept the only thing that is, which is love everlasting. Some see being reborn as an acceptance of Christ as your savior. What if it is the acceptance of you as Christ?
As psychics, being reborn is anytime we enter the crossover point in our heads and really see what is going on from our awareness of love.
But the person who masters this is able to not just see the truth, but bring the truth into present time.Taking your awareness from seeing the truth to being the truth. Right now is the crossover point. Right now you can choose to go beyond seeing, and actually Be. You can just be the Union of Oneness, of the goodness of the divine nature that you are. Trust in the absolute goodness from which we came, to which we aspire to represent while in these bodies.
This space to be reborn is right there within you. RIght now. When the challenges, violence and difficulties in our lives and the world are overwhelming, it is easy to be in doubt and wonder if the love of Godliness really exists.
It does, it is within you. If all that is of creator is of love, and we can resonate with that love, we see and experience the sacred. Love is in everything we see and encounter, no matter how dark it seems. The crossover point from secular to sacred is in you, it has never left.
Breathe, and validate this space, and be it now. Everything we see and experience allows us the choice to connect mystically with Godliness.
Don’t be afraid to ask why, and never have a answer that will satisfy your 3 dimensional self. Be the being that you are, who can own and tap into their spiritual limitlessness as well as come back to their physical nature and be here now. God is not a person. You are not trying to have an experience of God as a person who is uncertain or in doubt. You are in the experience of the nature of love and kindness. This crossover point where you make this choice is in the center of your head, and it’s the beginning of an entire new path for you once you choose it.
Don’t be afraid to have faith in a Godliness that can’t be seen or proven intellectually. Don’t be afraid of the mystery! “There is a running to and fro among men that will never cease as long as they try to explain spiritual things with intellect. Listen to the stillness within your own soul—and you will find it resonant with a new tongue.” (Myrtle Fillmore) Amen.
