“The time has come, the Walrus said, to speak of many things, of shoes, and ships and sealing wax, of cabbages and kings, and why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings.”
This is the way our dad let us know it was time for bed each night in our childhood. He began with “The time has come, the Walrus said” and we recited back to him the last part of this memorable quote from Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. After our mother died in a car crash when I was 3, Dad took to reading to us every night as a ritual and we recited the quote until we were teens. His reading was meant to calm and bond us as a group of five young children, and to teach us the wonder of reading.
And so I begin my last newsletter with this same quote. “The time has come….”, for I am retiring and leaving, after performing 42 years of the most amazing spiritual work I could ever have imagined! I am profoundly grateful for each and every person who has crossed my path. It has been my privilege; you will never know how much I learned and grew from working with you. Each reading invited me into the private Universe of the soul who sat before me — from past lives to their present time journey. Such intimacy, such amazing growth and such a blessing that we are able to witness God in motion through one another. And so as I pack my bags and look around me, I feel immense gratitude for this journey and for each person I encountered along the way.
You can look for the same grounded class structure and administrative support when you sign up for classes. There will be new workshops and events as our two new directors, Katie Heldman and Trish Laham, bring their wisdom and insight to the Center. It will be exciting to watch; just as the world is changing and growing, we all get to witness as Psychic Horizons takes its next step!
Katie and Trish have been training as directors for the past two years. As they embark on their journey I know they will have many similar experiences to the ones I have had, and they will benefit from interacting with every person they meet. As you can imagine, there are many different aspects to running a Center and these women have done a remarkable job of stepping up and accepting a variety of challenges. Debby Stillman and I are so proud of them both. We will stay on the Board of Directors to help guide them until they put us out to pasture!
What excitement the world holds for us all! For we are truly souls walking each other home and the real magic is in the fun we have along the way. In spirit, all we are is love. Eventually we learn to forgive everything, to hold on to nothing, and to see the light inside each person. Enjoy!!
