Is there anyone that doesn’t wish to heal quickly? We’ve all labored along in our lives dealing with difficult experiences that repeat, or behaving in ways that hold us back. Over time we’ve learned to recognize when an energy isn’t really “us”, or that it’s getting in our way and making our lives harder. Initially we can be very excited to have that realization but once the excitement wears off, we want the habit, pattern or energy to be gone.
The good news is, sometimes, the awareness alone releases the cause of the distress. But if it’s a really big learning that we’ve brought into this life, it can take a while to shift it. We call that a core picture. An example of a core picture is that you have to take care of everyone else in your life, first. You don’t get to have needs! Or you have had lifetimes of military conflict and tend to experience other people as the enemy.
We can bring core pictures into this life from another incarnation. They start out as energy that’s like a little bit of gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe. That energy has a vibration. You’re triggered by an experience that has the same energy, and the new, matching energy hitches a ride. Now you have a little more gum on your shoe and the pattern repeats. Eventually you have built up an amount of gunk, sometimes through lifetimes, that causes you to become energetically lopsided. After a while the concept changes from “something’s wrong”, to “I’m wrong”, as the sheer number of layers begin to take up space that you could have used for your own love and creativity.
Core pictures often intensify as we heal them. That’s something students can get stuck on: if I’m healing myself, why do I feel worse? We learn to recognize the signs of a pattern coming up to be healed when it stops churning away dully in the background and starts to appear on your dinner plate. Relationships change, or we become more emotional or maybe the resources we used to access are no longer available. It becomes harder to recognize our lives and our place in them as we are pushed to do and be something different. It’s not happening because we did something wrong or we’re bad and, in fact, it’s happening because change is in our highest good and our very being is helpfully turning up the heat to get our attention. Think of it this way: maybe feeling bad is the best motivator. If the pain doesn’t intensity there’s no impetus to change!
This increasing intensity can be a cause for celebration; it’s a sure sign that healing is happening. With Psychic Horizons students I say, congratulations, you’re healing – now get an energy check! We staff members get energy checks as well; no one is immune to growth and the challenges that come with it. They’re a great way to help students and staff move out some of the gunk that’s rising up to be released.
Members of the general public can reach out for a professional reading or healing, because these big shifts, or growth periods, are often best navigated with assistance.
I call this article “Little by Little” because with core pictures that feel deep and entrenched, you can’t always blow a few roses and be done. Core picture energy often builds up slowly, over time, layer by layer. You can move those difficult energies in baby steps. You might not feel a difference right away but keep doing it, 1% or 2% at a time. Eventually you will create enough space for yourself that you’ll start to feel different!
You can also ask Source, or your Akashic Record Keeper to move out whatever is ready to be released around the core picture, to store it in your record and update your energy. That’s a great way to move energy little by little.
Happy fall and all the best on your journey! We are are a community and we are here to help. Visit our website for more information about classes, readings, healings and our many free offerings.
