“It is time the ideal of success should be replaced with the ideal of service.” Albert Einstein
How many people are hung up chasing money? So many see their self-worth through society’s view of success. Fortunately, the world is rethinking this concept!
More and more companies and individuals are donating to charities and organizations that help make a difference in the world. It is so exciting to see! Take a moment and go inside yourself. Close your eyes and breathe. Look at the energy you hold about success. Is it outdated? Did it come down from your grandparents? Is it a concept you want to hang onto? How does it affect your life and what you strive for?
Breathe again and now look at your concept of service. How do you show up and contribute to the world? Is your job and personal life one that feels satisfying to you? Do you feel good about the difference you help make in the world? What were you taught about service growing up? Is it still working for you? What change can you make that would help you feel satisfied at the end of the day?
These are great questions to ponder when you meditate and look at your life. There are so many ways to be of service and it always feels good knowing you have made a difference to someone who needed you. I foresee more and more companies pledging a percentage of their income to help make the world at large a better place to be.
Each time you show up and help you teach those around you in the process. Parents and grandparents can make a huge difference by teaching their children how to be of service. We hear great stories about young children choosing a cause and raising money to help it. These new spirits coming in help open our awareness and give us great examples of how we can each make a difference.
Pick something that you feel passionate about and see how you can help. It could be with phone calls, fund-raising or talking with others in your community to raise awareness. Share your time and wisdom! At the end of the year, you can look back and see what a difference you have made and how blessed it made you feel. What a great life we have been given. It is even better when we share. Namaste.❦
