Rt. Reverend Mary Bell Nyman

FOUNDER, BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Mary Bell Nyman founded Psychic Horizons Center and The Church of Inner Light in 1994.  She retired as center Directer in 2021.  Mary Bell has been teaching & reading for over 40 years, and continues to sit on the board of directors. Over the years she helped create healing centers in Vermont and Atlanta, and traveled in the US teaching people how to use their spiritual abilities. Mary directed several schools for psychic children as well as working with handicapped children for 17 years. She is a spiritual midwife, and teaches others how to hold space at births. She also worked in Hospice helping families and patients deal with death for 10 years.

Owning My Own Energy Has Changed My Life

I took the How to Heal Yourself class at Psychic Horizons Center 8 years ago. I thought …there has to be more to this life, I feel “off”.  Well yes… so many classes later, I have come to realize that energy is everything. Being grounded and owning my own energy has changed my life almost without the words to explain it fully. I have a new found sense of self and others, I am as happy and healthy as I have ever been. I have clarity and neutrality and as an empath this has been beautiful. Again life changing.  I am now in the Trance Medium program. It would take too many words to describe the process.Let me simply say, when you are trained and have the skills to leave your body, you then connect with the greater Consciousness of the Universe.  Wow. WOW. The implications of this and the healing power available is almost inexplicable. Did I mention life changing ? And …this stuff is all FUN

Liz McCaslin

Teacher

Liz started exploring and learning about energy work when it became real and personal in 2008.  She has been doing psychic readings since 2014. Giving and receiving readings has opened her eyes to a different way of being in the world, with less stress, more love and more flow, dropping patterns that don't serve her. She loves offering the opportunity for growth and healing to more people. 

 

Maria Rendon

Teacher

Maria teaches the Accelerated How to Heal Yourself and How to Read classes and co-leads the Tuesday Healing Meditation at Psychic Horizons Center, where she holds space for grounding, renewal, and spiritual connection.

Transformation has always been close to her heart. For years, Maria guided change in corporate boardrooms until she discovered that the most profound transformations begin within the spirit. What began as a career in strategy became a calling to help others reconnect with their inner light.

She began studying energy work over twenty years ago and received formal training at Psychic Horizons Center, where she continues to deepen her learning through advanced graduate studies. In her private practice, she offers intuitive readings, energy clearings, and mentorship, helping others connect with their intuition and align with their spiritual essence, so that they can create more ease, joy, and fulfillment in their lives.

Krista Poole

Teacher

Krista Mayes-Poole is an Interspecies Communicator & Healer who owns and operates her own company. She is a graduate of PHC and is a Reiki Master and has 400+ hours of additional metaphysical training. Matea Strong

Teacher

Matea has been a part of the Psychic Horizons Center community since 2020, where she learned to view the universe as the expansive playground it is. Where challenges once lay, she now sees opportunities for growth, humility, and deeper connection to the people, animals, and world around her. She teaches both the accelerated and long-form How to Heal and How to Read classes, inviting her students to learn with curiosity and humor, lean into their own inner wisdom, and receive the gift of being seen as their true soul essence. Matea believes that even the simplest tools from our beginner classes, combined with the support of fellow students and community, can lead to profound transformation.

A dedicated student to life, Matea continues to learn through play; she is in voice lessons, acrobatic movement classes, and continues her training at PHC. She also maintains a professional practice as a CranioSacral and massage therapist, intuitive reader, and energy healer through her business. In her downtime, she loves to be with her two senior dogs, explore the great outdoors, or get lost in a good book from her local library. If you'd like to contact Matea please email the office.

Kathleen Harper

Teacher

Kathleen teaches the How to Heal Yourself and How to Read courses and also manages the distribution of Psychic Horizons’ marketing emails. In her Psychic Horizons Center classes, Kathleen enjoys creating a safe space for students to learn how to nurture and heal themselves, and grow and  trust their psychic abilities. 

Kathleen began her energy healing work in 2000 as a CranioSacral therapist, massage therapist, and Reiki practitioner. In her free time, Kathleen stays busy crafting, hiking, volunteering, and pet sitting. She also offers private clairvoyant readings and animal communication sessions with discounts to students of Psychic Horizons Center. Please feel free to contact the office to connect with her!

Theresa Bradley

Theresa finds great joy in teaching classes at Psychic Horizons. She creates an environment of curiosity and compassion for students to explore. Theresa brings to her teaching 20 years of practice in a heart centered meditation tradition. She has a foundation of 30 years experience as a healer with training in physical therapy, neurologic rehab, Jin Shin Jitsu, and trauma renegotiation. Theresa has a professional psychic reading and healing practice. When she is not teaching and healing she loves being a mom and wife and enjoys spending time walking with her dog and organizing things. Sydney Power

With over 15 years’ experience in energy readings and healings, and 20 years practicing meditation, Sydney believes life is to be treasured and enjoyed. A respected educator and clairvoyant reader and teacher, she shares her knowledge and insights in both beginning and advanced courses in energy movement, spiritual growth, meditation and the grounding tools necessary to liberate oneself from limiting beliefs.

Shelley Hodgen

Shelley lives and teaches in Marin County, California, located in the San Francisco Bay Area. For the past 40 years, she has been doing clairvoyant readings, spiritual healings, and teaching intuitive classes. As well as the classes Shelley offers, she has also taught at Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California as well as other locations throughout the U.S.

Shelley is a member of Psychic Horizons Center, and the Church of Inner Light’s Board of Directors.

Paul Caire

Paul Caire leads the PHC Men’s reading space. Paul has been a practicing healer since 1992; An official Psychic and Teacher from around 2000. He uses his skills to support spiritual, physical awareness, healing, and growth both as a Psychic and HOSPICE Nurse. People, Plants, and animals are included! Paul’s journey with Psychic Horizons began in 1997. Since he has studied under Psychics and Healers from around the world. Currently, he teaches through PHC, provides Spiritual Services through his Business, Graceful Awakenings, and Soaks in the sun on and off the beach in Sarasota, Florida.

Lynn Swearingn

Teacher, Class Archive Goddess

Lynn teaches Ectoplasm and various other advanced PHC classes, as well as works behind the scenes to bring order and stability to our infrastructure. She is our class archive goddess and takes care of all the recordings at the Psychic Horizons Center.

Lynn is a Massage Therapist, Energy Healer and Spiritual Counselor.

Lanie Craig

In 1999, after reading The Power is Within You by Louise Hay, I began exploring personal growth, spiritual practices, and energetic healing. I have since trained in shamanism, Buddhism, reflexology, Quantum-Touch, crystal healing, and more.

In 2014, I deepened my knowledge at Psychic Horizons Center, focusing on energetic healing, animal communication, house and business healings and spiritual development.

I am passionate about guiding students to embrace their true essence as I hold space for their journey. I offer readings to all, with discounts to PHC students. Please contact the office to connect with me.

Katie Graber

Office Goddess

Katie remembers going to Psychic Horizons Center as a child with her Mom to receive readings and, now, a couple of decades later, she is the office manager. She lives in downtown Denver in a loft with a kitty & city view; she dreamed up this life as a little girl.

Katie is a private practice psychotherapist & energy healer in Denver. She has an office that she gets to walk to, going right in-between the big buildings, and is her favorite part of where she lives. She finds walking the mile to and from work one of the most rewarding things she gets to do in her life currently.

Katie has a Masters In Management & Masters of Arts in Counseling. She is honored to be able to communicate with students & staff every day.

Kate deLaGrange

Teacher

Kate has been a teacher with Psychic Horizons since 2003 and it has been her joy to help students find their spiritual awareness, hone their intuition, learn to read, heal, and clear their own space to remember themselves as Spirit in a Body. Throughout those years she taught the Clairvoyant Program, Peeling the Onion, 1 to 1 and Graduate Workshops at Psychic Horizons and our sister school in Vermont.

Kate currently teaches Deprogramming workshops, leads Healing Meditations, and teaches both the Teacher’s and Minister’s Training Programs.

She offers readings, healings, Spiritual Coaching and deprogramming through her psychic practice.

Expressing her love of travel, Kate has lead women’s empowerment groups in the Yucatan and was a guide for pilgrims making their healing journey to the psychic surgeon John of God in Brazil. For the last 12 years Kate has been a professional psychic and spiritual coach through her business Spirit Walk.

Jocelyn Hunter

Teacher

Jocelyn Hunter has been studying with teachers at Psychic Horizons Center since 2016. She teaches a few different classes and facilitates the Tuesday night Healing Clinic. She loves helping people open to their inherent gifts as embodied spirits in bodies.

In addition to offering spiritual healings and psychic readings, she is a certified yoga teacher, Reiki Master, jewelry artist, mother, and a lifelong student of minerals and crystals.

JoLee Wingerson

Teacher

JoLee’s strong intuitive connection with animals began when she was a child. Since 2002, she has been an animal communicator in Boulder, “truly a dream job.”

She teaches the Animal Communication class along with workshops on other intuitive topics.

She enjoys helping people wake-up to their own inner truth as a soul so they can bring more of their conscious awareness into the world.

JoLee also loves milking goats, gardening, watercolor painting and spending time outdoors. She has a master’s degree in journalism and brings a playfulness to everything she does!

Jamie Endriss

Teacher

Jamie is a Psychic Healer, Minister, Teacher, and Reiki Master, with a passion for helping people let go of energy that is no longer serving them so they can live the life they desire – whether through psychic reading/healing, or through teaching them the skills offered at Psychic Horizons. With well over a decade of experience, and plenty of self-reflection and healing, she teaches and reads with deep compassion and clarity, and in addition to personal readings, she offers home/office/space clearings, pet healings, and readings at group events. Jamie also enjoys music, theater, and spending time in the magnificent mountains of Colorado.

Jane Binns

Amusement is our greatest super-power. When we laugh, we let go with ease.

Jane enjoys watching students learn tools to discover and embrace their insightful and true selves.

Jane teaches specialty workshops on such topics as self-love, releasing resistance, effort, and competition, and resetting your workspace.

She has been reading for over 20 years and teaching for over 10 years at Inner Insight Institute in Denver as well as Psychic Horizons online.

She is an author, painter, English Composition Instructor, mother, and loves to hike, bike, and swim.

Hope Hewetson

Co-Founder, Retired

Hope founded the center with Mary Bell Nyman in 1994, and was a teacher, minister, and Co-Director for many years. She loves helping people to discover their truth within so they walk in the awareness that they are a limitless spirit having a physical experience. The healing tools she taught in her classes and workshops allow individuals to release invalidation, doubts, pain and fear, and be renewed with a sense of connection to one’s spiritual and creative expression and sacred divinity.

Deborah Keys

Deborah Keys is a House Healer, Psychic and Teacher. She currently resides in Colorado but has also lived in Nepal, NYC, and Santa Fe. Debby Stillman

Teacher, Board of Directors

Debby has been involved at Psychic Horizons Center since 1999, as a student, a teacher, co-director, a minister and as a member of the Board of Directors. She currently teaches the One-to-One monthly series and is on the Board of Directors. She loves teaching, healing, reading and contributing to the PHC community. She enjoys helping people get in touch with their higher selves, discovering their unique and intrinsic value.

Rt. Rev. Stacia Synnestvedt

Teacher, Marketing, Director of Satellite Center

Stacia teaches various cohorts of the Clairvoyant/Intuitive Training, Graduate Program, TM Classes, and more! She also specializes in Children’s and Spiritual Parenting classes. Stacia offers private spiritual counseling and intuitive reading & healing sessions.  Her true passion is the healing of self through connection to spirit, and understanding how that manifests into each of our bodies in a completely unique way.

She is the Director of our satellite branch which offers study-at-your own pace programs and a membership community.

Additionally, with her background in advertising and marketing, Stacia plays the role as the Director of our marketing and outreach.

Chris Dapper

Teacher

Chris is thankful and proud to be a part of the trance medium program at Psychic Horizons. He has been a part of the TM staff and running the trance medium clinic since 2020. He began teaching in 2023 which has brought new levels of joy and learning into his life. Chris has a private reading and healing practice, loves to channel for small groups and is always honored to communicate with your loved ones who have passed.

Cheryl Barnes

Cheryl taught several levels of PHC classes over the years and continues to sub on an as needed basis. She has been giving readings for over 2 decades. She is also one of the brilliant people that keeps the office running when we need extra help. She loves using the tools to create miracles and have more fun in everyday life.

Cat Moleski

Cat has been using the tools taught at PHC for the last ten years for her spiritual journey, healing and growth. She is thrilled to teach these tools to students in the Accelerated How to Heal classes and How to Read classes.
