Last Monday I taught the topic of healing to our Clairvoyant students. We talked about the fact that a person is only ready to heal (whether physically, mentally, emotionally or spiritually) when they’re ready and not before. As healers, sometimes we can help them and sometimes they need more time. It’s very personal, the moment when a person makes that shift.
I love the book Many Lives, Many Masters, by Dr. Brian Weiss. In it he chronicles the journey of a psychiatric patient whose situation seemed hopeless from the perspective of traditional psychiatry. She finally responded, beautifully, to past life regression therapy. Reading the book there was a profound, ‘aha’ moment in which I realized that no matter how hopeless or stuck a person might seem today, what if, compared to previous lifetimes, they’re actually making enormous spiritual progress? I started seeing people differently after that. My inner critic began to relax and I’ve developed greater compassion for myself and others.
There’s no statute of limitations on healing in any one lifetime. Many people have the biggest shifts when they’re older and able to draw upon their life experience. Others mock up that they’re going to move through pictures quickly, easily and early in this lifetime. I’ve heard that some people mock up “resting” lifetimes, where they give themselves an entire incarnation to integrate a lot of healing and information from previous lives, without taking on new spiritual challenges. Everyone’s different; it’s all so personal!
Imagine you line ten people up and tell each one to plant a garden. That’s the end of the instructions. Some are going to throw it together in no time. Some will plant flowers, some vegetables, some both. Another might produce a marvelous topiary. Some will do a lot of research first, others will have an intuitive sense of what to do. One might slap the garden together carelessly and another wanders off, neglecting the exercise entirely. Each has his or her own timing, awareness, interest and inclination! No one is right or wrong; there’s no failure, just opportunity.
We’re all right where we need to be and the opportunity to heal something about ourselves will come when it’s time. Our spiritual evolution will wait patiently for us and it all comes from love.
And on that note, happy healing! We all have things we would like to shift and change about ourselves and our lives. But as I’ve heard again and again, “Don’t worry, you have the rest of your life!” I would add that, truly, you have the rest of your lives!
Blessings to all!
Much love from Katie
