Sometimes it seems like the chaos on our planet is too much and we have to do something. Now! Hurry! But what’s being recommended to us at the moment is to slow down and co-create, or partner with Spirit, to design the world that we want while at the same time having faith in the outcome. That can feel like a tall order—we’re supposed to sit around daydreaming about what we want the world to look like while everything’s falling apart around us? Then trust that it’s coming?
I’m reminded of a great analogy, that I discovered years ago in the writing of spiritual teacher Gregg Braden. It goes like this: Braden claimed that, soon, humanity would enter into a time of great change, a period that would feel very chaotic and even like the world was coming to an end. The time he referred to is here.
Now, I’m paraphrasing, but imagine you are from another planet with different biology and reproductive processes completely foreign to ours. You’ve come upon a human woman in the process of giving birth. Probably, you would find the experience astonishing. You’d see people in uniforms standing over the woman and giving her orders. There would be raised voices and possibly, actual screaming. She’d be leaking from different parts of her body! There might be blood and a sense of emergency and likely it would appear that the woman was in some kind of trouble.
Now, let’s imagine our little alien racing away to get help, then returning to find the mess cleaned up, the lights turned down, smiling faces, celebratory phone calls and what’s that–is it . . . a miniature human? Everyone is so happy! Where did that tiny thing come from and what in the world was the screaming about?
Braden says, if you didn’t know any better you might think that human labor is a woman coming to a violent end, but actually it’s the natural, hard work that precedes the miracle of new life. He goes on to suggest that our planet would be raising her vibration and that would result in heightened upheaval. Much like our alien witnessing the moments before birth, we might perceive that Mother Earth is hurt and in trouble but instead, he says, she’ll be in labor! When the labor is over we’re going to witness a new birth for our planet, a miracle.
Today it seems we’re all being challenged, or we’re supporting someone else who’s struggling. I’m an optimist, and I find this time very, very exciting—but also familiar, as if we’ve already been through it. I sense that, as a species, we’re each being called to release what no longer serves us, then together with Mother Earth, we’re going to give birth to a miracle. Do I have proof? I do not! But I do trust in a positive outcome. I have faith.
Have faith, my friends! Many blessings, and thank you for joining us on this extraordinary journey!
