We teach the same basic energy tools to our beginning students throughout the year. The tools take just a few weeks to learn: grounding, earth and cosmic energy, center of head, aura bubble and protection rose. We teach our beginners what it means to energetically allow ourselves to “have” something we desire, and then we teach them how to create an energetic model of that desire, from which form can follow. That class is called How To Heal Yourself. It’s a prerequisite and the foundation for all the programs we teach.
The tools are very simple. While the premise of this work seems curiously elementary, like something you’d teach to a child, we do consider Psychic Horizons to be a sort of kindergarten for the soul. We teach people how to clear away their energetic clutter and make a more powerful connection to Spirit.
In keeping with this theme of simplicity, there are many things we can do to influence the ease with which we move through our world. Here are a few basic tools and exercises that I use often in everyday life:
Traffic Roses: works well for tailgaters. Put a grounded protection rose at the front and back of your vehicle and notice what happens. A teacher talks about sitting at an intersection with a second car inches behind her. When she created a rose between them, the other driver actually backed up!
Mary Bell has a great story about a pickup truck with a mattress in the back. The truck hit a bump and the mattress flew straight up while the truck drove away. Seeing that the mattress was going to hit her windshield, Mary grounded it and instead, it slammed to the pavement and she drove around it.
On road trips I ground the route and line it with roses. You can put a gold sun at every stop light too, and I like to mock-up, or “create”, that the route is full of grounded, peaceful people moving together in harmony. One day I had a flat tire driving from a nearby town to my home. I couldn’t loosen the bolts with the car jack and in the 20 minutes it took for my husband to arrive, 5 different people stopped to ask if I needed a hand.
Protection Rose: This is a great tool for trips to the grocery store, concerts, difficult conversations and social interactions of all kinds. For those of you that are introverted and skittish, putting a rose out in front of one’s space can make everything easier.
Gold suns: it can completely transform a day if you fill in with a gold sun of amusement! I try to remember this in the morning before I launch, but you can do it any time. I also like to play around with gold suns full of abundance and when I do, I notice I often attract more private readings, more students and more opportunities and experiences in general.
Toddlers, tweens and teens: My child was a firecracker from her toddler years well into high school. At every age she tested us, tested us again and tested us some more. What she lacked in logic, she made up for in persistence. I learned from the lovely and talented Stacia, when your kid is riding your patience like a stolen car, try changing your crown color!
My child would yap away and I’d switch my crown. Yellow . . . red . . . green . . . purple . . . on and on, while I nodded thoughtfully, made the idle comment and waited. What kids really want is to have clear boundaries, but they seek them by testing. My daughter was trying to “match” my vibration in an attempt to manage it.
If they’re lucky you’ll start barking at them, which is excellent because it establishes you as the one with the problem, or maybe you’ll give in, which is excellent too! Because now your child is driving to California for a week with three other people that you’ve never heard of. They’re all 15 except for the driver and by the way, two of them are boys.
Inevitably my daughter would give up, and pretty quickly, when she couldn’t match my crown! The color-changing kept me neutral while I pretended to be interested. This exercise is entertaining, I’ll admit; it puts the fun in fundamental! (A disclaimer: this exercise is not intended to replace careful consideration of valid arguments from little people that are learning and in need of guidance. This is for the argument that goes like this: “You’re the only Mom that doesn’t let her children fill in the blank with something that makes all of us appear to be insane.”)
This is just a little reminder of the practical nature of energy tools! They’re simple and effective. As always, we’re here to answer any questions and we offer a free first day of How To Heal Yourself if you want to try us out.
Many blessings and have a great week!
Katie
