Good morning! Take a deep breath and close your eyes. Validate your space within and have a healing during this morning’s message!
“Fire purifies. We are healing our hearts back to compassion and innocence. Any of us can lose all at any time! Look at what is of true value—your spiritual treasure within and your ability to love and be of service to one another! Love and Light to all through this transformation.”
Of course this is in reference to the fire in the foothills of Boulder, and all of the people directly and indirectly affected by it. What happens to one of us, happens to all of us. Even if you were not fighting the fire or losing something to it, you have the opportunity to abide with the experience in a way that you choose. Fire is a transformer. And this event reminds us to focus on our own transformation. As a friend of mine said, “Mother is cleaning.”
Your inner fire is located in your third chakra, the chakra of power and use of your will, at your solar plexus. Fire governs that chakra. Air governs the heart chakra of love above it at your sternum. Take a deep breath. Feel your lungs and abdomen expand as the air feeds your fire. Inhale and exhale a few times, validating the physical awareness of these energetic points. Bring love, compassion and wholeness to your power.
Resistance to fueling the fire limits our air and our ability to take action from a loving, balanced perspective. Resistance to using our third chakra life force results in inertia, and when we do act it is from a forced power stunted by fear and limitation versus taking action from balance and wholeness. Breathe again, taking air into your lungs, feeding that heart chakra with breath, life and love. See the air fuel your third chakra inner fire. Be greedy for it and the loving power it brings to your body and being!
Boulder’s Fourmile fire was greedy for air the day it started, with the gusts whipping around at 50 plus miles per hour. It made a statement. It’s sad that people lost their homes and were endangered. But when all is said and done, transformation occurred, and choices and changes that result from transformation are made. They can be expanding, they can be contracting.
By looking at the fears that come up for us in relationship to the fire, we see what we value. We can be in gratitude for the blessings of our lives. We can see the fire from the big picture of transformation and new growth. This is easier for those who didn’t lose anything physically in the fire. We can heal and hold space for the people who have to deal with finding new homes, loss and financial matters. They have a grounded, hopeful and effortless energy to match rather than hopelessness, blame or fear.
Transformation is inevitable, struggle is an option. Breathe again, and let go of stagnation that sits in your space from anytime this life you have lost something or someone. Validate that you are here, now. Celebrate the change and transformation those events afforded you. You are not the same person.
A spiritual path allows you the space to use the most ordinary of moments in your day to remember who you really are and that you create your reality. If you remember the truth of who you are in your ordinary moments, you are more prepared for the extraordinary moments.
Use your spiritual path to help you become committed to change and transformation. Choose to live differently before you are forced to. Since you create your reality, you can, in each moment, choose to have a new perception about anything.
This process happens personally and intimately within you. No one else can do it for you, nothing outside of you can bring you that peace. So when you are in the midst of a lot of change, remember that you, the eternal being of light, is exactly where you need to be, which is in the holiest of temples, you.
You, right where you are, in any moment, can take the power that you have focused on limits and fear, and instead focus that power on overcoming the limitations. Remember your truth and release the obstacles. There is nothing else that the Universe desires for you than ease and peace.
The obstacles sitting in your space cloud over the truth of the love that you are. They don’t let the spiritual fuel get to the fire. Instead, fear feeds the fire. You become seduced by the boundaries you have built around yourself, and forget that one loving shift in perception can result in the melting away of a set of beliefs that has kept you trapped in lack, anger, sadness or fear. You lose your heart and sense of self value. You lose the ability to feed your passion and fire with that love. Then action comes from fear and just creates more fearful scenarios.
It’s like seeing the consciousness that you create from as the size of a swimming pool. We swim into the walls of beliefs that won’t let us expand. But if we let go of enough limitations, our awareness breaks though into the ocean, into the truth of the unlimitedness that we are! You are creating your life from the awareness of a few feet in diameter, when the reality of the awareness you have access to is millions of miles.
To heal these obstacles you first have to take responsibility for the fact that you are creating your reality, and all that you have ever experienced you created. You built the walls of your pool.
Your next step is bringing attention to the fearful parts within you that built the walls of your small pool. Look honestly at what you have identified with. Do you think you are your job? Does your body have to be a certain way for you to approve of yourself? Do you think that being in a relationship keeps you safe? Or only eating organic foods? All of those identities are finite and can limit you. Having to be those things, by definition, separates you from the Divinity of the truth of who you are. It doesn’t mean you can’t choose them. It’s how you think they define you that limits you.
Losing all of your possessions at once would be a very humbling experience. Many of the things that you believe somehow reflect who you are, are gone. It takes you back to innocence, to a purity of who you truly are. Who you are has nothing to do with those things.
We choose to call those things into our lives. But defining ourselves as our job, our family, where we live, how we look, our sex, adds layers of thickness to the swimming pool walls. You create a vibration that attracts to you the effects of that belief. So, if you are limited by money, a family experience, a health issue, you thought yourself into it, and you will think your way out of it.
How does this work? Well, just identifying with being your mother’s daughter or son contributes to the wall. Do you automatically have a pattern of thought you fall into as a daughter or son? Is there blame towards her, or limitations in your life that you attribute to her? Is there some aspect of you that HAS to be a certain way because of her? How about your age? What part of your wall is supported by the limits you hold about aging? How about your career? If you didn’t have your career, would you still feel as good about yourself? Or, are you not allowed to feel good about yourself because of the career you are in? When your value is tied up in these things, you are being the body, not the I Am presence of you, the spirit.
Another way of looking at this is seeing you from another person’s perspective. If someone knows you are a Democrat or a Republican, American or European, live in Boulder or Detroit, works as a waitress or an attorney, what are the labels? What can you see that they may assume and assign to you? Do you assign these assumptions on others? Do you like being pigeon-holed? Probably not. So where do you pigeon-hole yourself? When do you relate to a life experience from a past perception versus the I Am presence of you?
And yet another way of seeing this is in relationships. Did you ever this lifetime perceive yourself as needing to change or meet certain expectations before you could create a relationship? Perhaps you felt you had to lose weight first, get more fit, have a good enough car or a neat or a tidy enough bedroom. You needed to only meet the person on your good days, when you were happy enough, sexy enough, confident enough. Those were things that made your enough or okay. But they all change. Value in yourself as a spiritual being means you are okay all of the time, and the special person in your life loves you through all of it, because you are able to love yourself through all of it. Breathe, and let go of old expectation pictures in your space! You are a sacred being, just as you are, always!
What if you chose instead to see every person and experience in your life as something you called to you because you wanted to learn something? Look at how you want to label a person as a mom or a brother, boss, wife or boyfriend. You are putting them in a limited label as well, and they will continue to function on that level until you shift it within you and choose to see them as a loving being playing a role for you. They are offering you a chance to choose how to respond to something. Any of those choices fueled from love, feed your light. You are dealing with vibration, not identity. You experience yourself as a limitless being, drawing from an ocean of awareness.
As you release these definitions of your self, you expand the piece of your awareness that was limited by the swimming pool into the ocean. You burn it away with your power and will fueled by compassion and self love. Transformation happens. The ocean is limitless cosmic awareness. And the more awareness you have in the moment, the more you respond from your truth from situation to situation. Eventually, even in the toughest moments, you can see the event with the awareness of the cosmic big picture, not just what is happening within the limited scope of the boundaries and definitions.
Suddenly, an event like the fire becomes a event of purification, transmuting fear back to innocence and compassion. It becomes an event that reminds us to look at what we value, what is important, what is everlasting.
A great way to know where you are holding up the wall of the pool of your identity is to notice what you are defending. Notice what you continue to do on a daily basis that doesn’t fulfill you. As you hear this message, even as your spirit knows the limitless, loving truth of who you are, what does your ego want to argue about? What do feel you have to defend, have to be?
Anything that has to be defended, isn’t of your truth. If it was, it would be okay for it to just be. No need to announce it, publish it, let anyone know, because you are fulfilled in your truth, and it is enough. It needs no outside validation like the ego does!
So use your spiritual path to bring awareness to the definitions of your self that have become unconscious for you, and then deliberately redefine your self as you live life and enter different experiences. No one can do this for you! It is done through the process of life, moment to moment. Validate and acknowledge that you are doing it, right now.
Create the structure of loving experience by blessing the person or circumstance you are encountering. You will never find something outside of you that will make it right. You know how you feel, and that is your indicator whether or not you are identifying with your own true awareness or that of a limitation or boundary.
Most of the time, the emotion we feel while in transformation isn’t our own, anyway! The thoughts that have kept us prisoner came from someone else. Who is it? Who in your life is or has been afraid of change? Who is afraid of who they will be if you change? And is it worth staying limited just to protect them? If you are feeling hugely emotional about a change that is taking place in your life, whether it is a death, career, money, health, first ground out of your space everyone else’s emotion and thoughts about the issue. You will often release about 80% of the emotion you were carrying about the event. The other 20% you can experience and transmute easily!
A friend remembered this recently in relationship to the fire. I had told her that when a friend of mine died recently, I noticed that most of the emotion I felt that was overwhelming and out of control, wasn’t my grief. It was how my parents or other people experienced grief. When I grounded their energy out of my space, I was left with my own grief which was healing and manageable.
This friend was in Nederland when the fire started, and had to drive a ways to get back down to Boulder with her young son before the roads were blocked. She said that she felt really emotional because she was raised up there and saw that the fire was going to grow and become destructive. She remembered to ground out other people’s concepts of loss that weren’t hers. She felt her body relax and the emotion shift right away.
It isn’t about not having emotion. But if you are trying to process and transmute energy based on other people’s perceptions, you will stay stuck with their emotion. You can’t heal other people’s energy in your space. You can only return it to them so they can heal it. But your own emotion, combined with your own perceptions on what an event has to mean or not mean, will result in peace of mind.
These same emotions come up in the form of the fear we experience when we decide to change how we identify ourselves, or life makes us change it! If you decide to end a relationship, move, change careers, choose an unconventional healing path for an illness, who is really afraid of your choice? You? Or the people in your space who wish you would do it their way so they can feel more comfortable? I remember long ago leaving a dependable teaching job in the public school system to pursue a career in the metaphysical healing world. I knew as a spirit that I was on the right path, nothing was going to stop me. The fear I experienced was mainly the energy of the people in my space who were too afraid to make that type of change in their life.
Breathe, and let go of anyone’s energy in your space who is afraid of change! Or who may not understand why you want to change. They don’t have to understand! I tell people all the time that if we waited for everyone to understand and approve of us before we changed something, we would wait a long, long time!
Validate this moment, the now. You are a holy being who has literally created this moment. All of it. Everything outside of you in the moment is finite. The essence of you within is eternal. Your spiritual treasure is comprised of the deeds and thoughts you do from love and caring for one another. Even the Dalai Lama teaches that we can live without meditation, but we can’t live without the support of other humans in our lives. You attract like, caring souls to you by being you. Only love is real. From that space, you have called all the individuals to you that you experience. Nothing can separate you from the Oneness that we all are. You are free to look lovingly on the world right now.
There is nothing to wait for. Let go of any need to wait for any sign or clue of worthiness of any certain magnitude to know the depth and limitlessness of who you are. It’s in you now. “I Am the great I Am and I Am the He that sent me.” Breathe and say it to yourself.
I would like to have you do an exercise with each other that we have done before. Go ahead and stand and find a partner to face. Choose person ‘A’.
From the Way of Mastery, “When next someone asks you, ‘Who are you?’ please do not give them a name. Do not say, ‘Well, I was born in a certain town in a certain part of the planet.’ Do not tell them that you are a democrat, or a republican, or a communist, or an atheist or a catholic. Tell them the truth:
Now person ‘A’ repeat after me: “Who am I? I am the extension of Love in form. I have never been born and I will never taste death. I am infinite and eternal. I shine forth as a sunbeam to the sun. I am the effect of God’s love. And I stand before you to love you.”
Now, person ‘B’ repeat after me. Breathe and have a seat!
Respond to the world as one who is of everything. See who you are by who you are being, your ability to see more than is shown to you, not the labels. From the Way of Mastery: “Who will you say you are to the world? For what you decree is, instantly. There is no way out of this responsibility. Stop fighting it and birth Christ where once you thought something less than that has dwelt.”
Amen.
