People come to our center for a variety of reasons but in the end all roads lead to the same place: to their certainty.
Certainty is when you know what you know, with confidence. We call this certainty; it’s our truth. And here’s where it gets interesting: your truth doesn’t have to be true for someone else. They can have their own truth and it can be opposite to yours, sort of like yours or they can legitimately have no opinion one way or another. That’s a sort of truth as well.
Certainty isn’t about knowledge. It’s not something you open a book to figure out. It can’t be proven; no one can study it and declare that it’s accurate. At the same time it can be completely and inarguably true simply because it resonates with you; you just “know”. It’s a high level of owning who you are as a spirit in a body, receiving information directly from Source.
You could argue, what if someone’s certainty, their truth, is something unkind, unreasonable or cruel but they say they got it from Source? For example, that certain groups of people shouldn’t have rights or that animals are inferior to humans and so on.
The certainty that we talk about is at a very high vibration, the result of Source, Spirit and the personality working together to express a person’s most authentic self. As students go through the year, they start to be able to recognize when a truth is the result of those three parts working together in harmony, which has a distinct vibration, and when it’s actually someone else’s truth we once accepted as our own. We call that foreign energy and it feels different: it’s often heavier, denser or cloudier and typically interferes with our ability to be at peace with the self.
I describe foreign energy to my students like this: Energetically, our space is like a closet full of clothing. Your stuff is in there but sprinkled throughout is clothing belonging to your mom, your dad – and how did the next-door neighbor’s jumpsuit get in there? There’s an outfit from your childhood friend, your boyfriend’s athletic jerseys and sprinkled throughout, some far-out clothing that belonged to Grandma and Grandpa! You’re weeding through all this stuff to find something to wear but a lot of it doesn’t quite fit, or it isn’t your taste.
Even when it’s someone whose truth we admire. Beautiful though it may be, their energy vibrates differently in our space; it doesn’t quite resonate. We’re meant to access our own certainty. Sometimes the vibration will be similar but often we bring a new quality to it; we discover a new expression and make it our own.
The good news is, our certainty comes from a very high vibration and it’s loving and supportive. It’s not going to deny other humans their rights, or declare itself to be superior to the animal kingdom. That’s not who we are as a species and your highest self knows it!
The common thread in all of our programs at Psychic Horizons Center is students gradually letting go of all the clothing in their energy closet that doesn’t belong to them. They begin to be aware of what is theirs, they clear out what isn’t and make room to expand who they are as a Soul, giving them access to their certainty and allowing them to be senior in their own lives.
