How’s everybody doing out there? Just checking in . . . Here’s your friendly reminder to use your energy tools. If you don’t have grounding and roses and gold suns and you want them, I know a place!
I’m noticing something lately with my students. They come into class and they’re all fired up to move energy. They trade, they read, they give healings. They’re clairvoyant as the day is long and totally capable. Then I meet with them one on one and they’re struggling with something: emotions, relationships, jobs, you name it. I ask, are you using your tools?
‘Crickets’.
Then they say things like, “oh!” They have an aha moment. Everything we teach is completely practical in everyday life, but students learn it in a structured environment, surrounded by like-minded people and lots of validation. Then they go back to work, or back to their families and friends, and it can be easier to meet those characters at the old vibe. Sometimes in the back and forth of their lives they don’t think of the tools. Students forget that they’re actually learning how to change their lives!
Using energy tools is a practice and we all need reminders, because we’ve grown up and lived with resistance, effort, serious energy and so on, often for a very long time. In a way we’ve been marinating in it; most of us didn’t grow up in an atmosphere that encouraged support for a spiritual journey.
It’s not a problem, there’s no right or wrong! I did the same thing as a student. I’d go to class and give readings, I’d teach my daughter and my friends how to use the tools, I’d talk the talk; then something would go south in my life and I’d set to work wailing like I never learned a thing. It’s easy to regress and besides, it can be so familiar. We don’t always recognize that pain is a signal to shift something, it’s not supposed to be a way of life.
As we use the tools they start to become more real. We move some energy and we feel better right away! It really is magic, and I teach this stuff every week but it never fails to amaze me. Today I read a young man who had all the tools but had never had a psychic reading. He came in all serious and weepy with his hair askew, and I learned that he used to have a daily practice but sort of drifted away from it. We cleared a lot of energy and set up his space, and he left the reading glowing and excited to get back to his practice.
The speed of change is accelerating. We’ve just moved through the first eclipse of 2023 and it was a solar eclipse, which means its energy is going to affect everyone on the planet in some way over the next year. Each of us is being called to have more courage, to be more authentic and to tap into our creativity. I’ve been saying that for six months, but let’s just say the encouragement to embody these beautiful qualities is getting more insistent.
In addition, the eclipse brought in the energy of “the beginning of the end”. The end of what, you may ask? We will find out, but it may take a little while; the energy of an eclipse can take months to unfold. Some endings will be experienced on a personal level, while others will affect collective structures such as government, education and finance. Whatever the case, the energy of an eclipse doesn’t have an ending, where the world eventually goes back to normal. Rather, at some point during the next year we will find ourselves in a new reality, and we’ll proceed from there.
Allow me to remind you: you are more powerful than you think! You have the ability to influence your reality. You were born creative with all your answers, then you promptly forgot. We all do. But every day brings a new opportunity to remember and it’s never too late. My intuition tells me that in the next few years the energy tools will become more and more useful and here’s a thought: what if they become more and more necessary?
You can think of life as a game you’re learning to master. My husband and I have been playing Cribbage for almost 30 years and when we play I experiment with my manifestation skills. For example, I might (silently) ask for an 8 and more often than chance, I’ll get an 8. I’ve also learned that if I don’t, I’m likely to get a card that’s even better. This has prompted me to start asking for “the best card for my hand.”
I remember being soundly thrashed by my child in Monopoly. She’s a kind-hearted kid and she probably felt bad, but all the same she was calmly charging me so. much. rent. You know how it goes in Monopoly: one minute you’re having a great time and the next, your opponent has 20 hotels. I silently directed energy toward a personal victory, but the money continued to dwindle. The game was about to end and it was demoralizing.
All of a sudden I heard, “Let her have it!” It was kind of an aha moment. I let go of my feelings of competition and resistance and shifted my intent to seeing her win the big pile of money in the middle of the board. I knew she’d be thrilled and I was excited to think of her winning. That shift in awareness changed my vibration.
On the very next roll, I won the big pile of money and got back in the game, which was really the outcome we both wanted.
What’s my point? We’re creators! I can use energy to influence a game, so what else can I influence?
In the coming years, we’re going to have some opportunities to play the game of life and really use our intuition. What do you want to experience? Haul out your mock-up tool! Mock-ups are opportunities to design your next step, then submit it to the Universe to be fulfilled. Much like visualization, intention-making or creating a vision board, a mock-up is a “model” of the thing you want to experience.
We’re going to look more closely at mock-ups again next week. We’ve looked at this subject before, and I will keep bringing it up. For one thing it’s fun, but it’s also a great opportunity to practice manifesting.
In the meantime, have a happy spring! Know that we are here in community if you need anything, and we can teach you all these great tools I’m always going on about. We look forward to seeing you again in our programs if you’re a regular, and if you’re new to Psychic Horizons Center, we look forward to meeting you soon.
Blessings,
Katie Heldman
