lysses S. Grant once wrote, "I believe our Great Maker is preparing the world, in His own good time, to become one nation, speaking one anguage, and when armies and navies will be no longer needed."  Just imagine in your mind's eye what that would look like to you.  How would it feel to live in a world of harmony? Everyone cooperating and helping each other? Where love was the dominant emotion and fear was just a trickle. Put yourself in the picture, seeing yourself as open-hearted, living life unafraid and truly sharing yourself with all the people around you.

Ulysses S. Grant saw this vision long ago. It has been referred to as the 1000 years of peace. I believe we will see this in our lifetime and are on the edge of it now. Yet if you read the newspapers and look at the tragedy in Spain, for example, it can be hard to imagine it.

"Bowling for Columbine", a movie that talks about the degree of violence present in all the countries of the world, opens your eyes to how the media controls our awareness and keeps us in fear here in the United States. The media would have us believe it is even unsafe to know our neighbors or to trust anyone, which is a radical shift in the last 30 years. The movie goes on to show how people in Canada never even lock their doors, a concept that was true for us 30 years ago. The Canadians have more guns than us, but they aren't afraid of each other and live in harmony. How does that imaginary line, we call a border, create such a difference? Why is it that we get so brainwashed by the media and look fearfully at the people around us?

We can begin by releasing all the fear we have been fed about how dangerous our country is. Close your eyes and imagine a gauge in front of you.  How much fear do you see, from 1 to 100?  Now ask yourself, how much of that is really your own fears?  Is it 5, 10 or 15%? Ground out everyone else's' fears. Any energy that flows through the body, the body will assume is its own.  Foreign energy running unchecked in the body exhausts it over time, creating a sense of helplessness and a feeling of no way out, which is never true. When you release foreign energy, the body gets lighter.

Recreate that vision of harmony we first pictured ourself being a part of.  Let every cell in the body feel that vibration. Breathe and be the peace inside you. Consciously choose to be one, united in harmony with all. Like anything we want in our lives, we need to keep our attention on the goal. We let our actions in everything we do, draw us closer to that goal. We choose peace in every moment. We live our truth and stand in that awareness - choosing kindness and love over fear.

For those who want more examples of living this truth or want to expand your awareness, Hope is teaching a 6-week class called, "Being a Servant of Peace."  This class begins Saturday, April 3, from 10 to noon, here at the Center.  Keep your eye on the vision, never wavering. All the darkness is coming into the light to be healed.  We are right on track! Hold world peace inside and become it. It will be a reality in our lifetime.  Namaste.
