Another change is taking place as August comes to a close. We find ourselves basking in the last days of summer and looking forward to cool, crisp nights, leaves changing colors, and the pace of life slowing down a bit. As we approach fall, we allow ourselves to settle into a new rhythm. School begins, and families turn their attention inward - responding to a a natural cycle of energy. The memories of summer and vacations are still lingering. Putting all the pictures into photo albums helps us remember the fun we had and keep that sense of adventure alive throughout the year.

As you look towards the last four months of this year, notice if there is anything you want to finish or undertake before the year comes to an end. It is such a good time to do a little inner reflecting, and then bring those ideas to fruition. Change is a powerful catalyst in our lives. It calls to us and gives us the energy to make the move. It's time to jump, to create and to carry out our ideas before the winter sets in. This is the last hurrah, the time to ride that last big wave into shore.

Fall is also a powerful time to reflect on all we have worked for during the year. We reap the last of the crops, and can rest and enjoy our bounty. Notice how much you have accomplished in these last eight months. What changes have you made, projects completed and goals accomplished? Can you find the time to enjoy and validate all you have achieved?

I see that big steps were taken this year; from all the peace demonstrations to the peaceful black out on the east coast. What a huge difference it makes when we all pull together. There was so much more awareness towards working together and supporting each other this year. New York could have been a nightmare, but people came together as a community and worked towards a common goal. It let people believe in each other and the power of love to heal the planet.

I think there is call to celebrate, even though it isn't all perfect yet. It's time to validate how far we have come and to hold light for all that is yet to come. It's time to cheer our neighbors on, whether they are here in the United States or our neighbors around the world. It's time to let peace in, to love it and breathe it. Let's thank New York for setting such a good example for all of us. And let's thank each other for being peace and working towards the common goal. We are rising above fear and being the love. That is a lot to be thankful for.
