H ave you ever tried to sit down and intellectualize wind? Try to describe how it flows and moves, what it looks like and how you know it is really there? I watch people try to analyze spirit or soul energy all the time and after awhile it becomes funny!

"But how do you know it is real?" "How can you prove it?" "How can you learn to see it?" These are all good questions and almost everyone can learn to see spirit, but spirit doesn't compute in the analytical sense of the word! If you think about who the most psychic people in the world are, they are all under three feet tall. The children! They haven't lost their ability to see and communicate with spirit. We all are born aware, with a foot in each world; the physical one and the spiritual one. Around age six, many children start to have this ability programmed out of them.

Think about children for a minute. They are always playing, curious, honest, open and full of love and laughter. Everything is magical to them, a constant adventure or game. It is here that we find the essence of spirit.

When we teach people how to open into their spiritual abilities, we have them begin here; playing with energy instead of trying to intellectualize it, analyze it to death or take it so seriously! When you raise your vibration to amusement it allows energy to move and flow. When you are serious, it slows down the vibration, making any changes hard to accomplish.. Maybe this is what Jesus meant when he said to come as a little child - to be open to life; embracing it with enthusiasm and love, versus trying to pick it apart and control it.

I love watching people open back into their spiritual abilities. They get happier, more relaxed and enjoy being themselves. Life still happens, but they don't take it so personally. They have a broader perspective and instead of getting caught in pain they use their amusement to discover what good they can find in each situation. If you have a flat tire, you start to wonder who you will you meet that day and what can they teach you. It is fun finding the synchronistic flow of life and what each interaction with another is all about.

Think back to a day when you felt like a million bucks and everything came together around you. You felt high on life and hated for the day to end. That enthusiasm is the spirit part of you communicating and being in harmony. Joseph Campbell coined the phrase, "follow your bliss." When you are listening and in harmony with the spirit part of you, life flows. You feel alive and know that anything is possible. That is when your spirit is leading the way.

When the body is senior to the spirit, it feels like a struggle, being stuck in victim mode. Life is serious and there is little time for joy. Bringing the spirit in alignment with the body and into communication changes all that. The magic never ends, it is an untapped well. Try matching the energy of children. It will change your life forever. Namaste.
